Alyachi Vadi/ Alepak
Alepak or Alyachi vadi is the Spicy Maharashtrian Sweet That Fights Cold And Cough. Ale Pak, looks like a barfi, helps treating cold and cough. Ale Pak is made with simple ingredients found in every Indian kitchen. Ale pak, the Maharashtrian winter-special sweet, is known multifariously as alyachi vadi or ginger barfi/candy. Lets see the Alepak recipe.
Ingredients:
250 gm. peeled ginger
200 gm sugar
some ghee/ milk
Method:
First washed and peeled ginger and crushed it. Take a pan add sugar and crushed ginger in it. Stir continuously till it starts leaving edges of pan then add some ghee in it. And stir for few minutes till all moisture goes away. Then put some ghee in plate for greasing and pour mixure in it. Evenly spread it on plate and cut in to a square shape. Our alyachi vadi is ready to eat. When season is too much cold eating alyachi vadi is suggested as it creates energy in human body.
But don’t eat more and in summer season also.
