Dal Palak
Dal Palak, or spinach lentil soup, is a nutritious Indian dish featuring yellow lentils (dal) cooked with fresh spinach, onions, tomatoes, and aromatic spices, providing a wholesome combination of protein, iron, and B vitamins, particularly folate, for a nourishing and flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
1 cup yellow lentils (dal)
2 cups chopped spinach
1 onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ghee
Instructions:
Cook lentils with turmeric until tender.
In a pan, sauté cumin seeds in ghee, add onions, and cook until golden.
Add tomatoes, spinach, garam masala, and salt. Cook until spinach wilts.
Mix the spinach mixture with cooked lenti

This dish is rich in B vitamins, especially B9 (folate) found in lentils. Spinach adds iron and other essential nutrients.
