Dink Ladu

Dink (also known as gond or edible gum) ladu is a popular Indian sweet made with edible gum, nuts, and jaggery. In India, mostly this ladu is eaten by ladies after their delivery. Because various vitamins and minirals had lost during their pregnancy. For recovery of the body and for breast feeding all ingredients in Dink Ladu are vary important. Also any person facing problem of back pain, dink or edible gum is vary important in recovery of body. Various people in India makes this ladu by using various ingredients may varies. Some Ayurvedic ingredients are also used in this ladu like Godambi, Badam, Sunth etc. some may not make its use. Here is recipe given more or less you can used this ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 cup dink either fried in ghee

1 cup chopped nuts almonds

1 cup grated or powdered jaggery

1/2 cup shuddh desi ghee

1 cup dry/desiccated coconut

1 teaspoon nutmeg powder

2 teaspoon Khuskhus/Poppy seeds

A pinch of saffron strands (optional)

1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Method:

Firstly take some ghee in pan for frying dink until it puffs up and keep aside. Then chopped Badam and any other nuts which we want to add in ladu; keep aside. In a separate pan, melt the jaggery and add all ingredients which we kept aside. Mixed them well, ensure that the mixture is sticky enough to form laddus. Use ghee on your palms to shape the mixture into small, round ladus. Keep in mind that when mixture is hot that time we have to make ladus otherwise we can’t round up ladus. Let the laddus cool and set for a few hours.

Your dink laddus are now ready to be enjoyed! Store them in an airtight container to maintain freshness. This sweet treat is not only delicious but also nutritious due to the inclusion of nuts and edible gum.
