It is found in costal region like Konkan, Mumbai in Maharashtra. It is the largest among the citrus fruits, known for its thick, gren or yellow rind and sweet, juicy flesh. Pummelos are typically larger than most other citrus fruits, ranging from the size of a small melon to as large as a basketball ; usually round or slightly pear-shaped. The Pummelo can be green or yellow, depending on the variety and ripeness. The flesh is juicy, tender, and can vary in color from pale yellow to pink or red, depending on the variety. Pummelos can be seedless, but some varieties have seeds.
