Baddha Padmasana

Baddhapadmasana is the variation of Padmasana. It is not ment for meditation but it is mainly ment for Helth Imrovement and for making body strong. 

How to perform BadhhaPadmasana ?

1.Sit in Padmasana with legs crossed.

2.The heels should touch the lower part of Abdomen. 

3.Swing the right arm behind the back of the shoulder and bring the hand near the left hip. now catch the left big toe. simillerly do it for left arm amd catch the right big toe.

4. If holding toes is difficult bend slightly forward and make it easy to hold the big toes.

5. After holding toes sit in erect position as before and breath normally.

6. Stay in this position for at least 1 to 2 mins and gradually increase the time till 10 mins. 

What are the Advantages of Baddha Padmasana ?

1. Joints of the legs become strong. as in this asana the weight of the body is borne by the knees and the ankle joints.

2. Both heels of the legs get sufficient excercise.

3. It reduces pain in knees and Ankle joints

4. Cures problems like indigesion, Flatuence , Stomachache etc.

5. Overcome the weekness of heart,lungs,liver,Spine,Stomach etc. 

6. Gives all benifits of Padmasana.
